Getting started

Jaunt uses your phone number instead of an email and password. Your friends already have your number, and invites arrive by text, so there’s no password to remember.

Sign up

1. Open Jaunt and tap Sign Up.
2. Choose your country code (it starts on 🇬🇧 +44) and enter your phone number.
3. Tap Send Code. We text you a 6-digit code: “Your Jaunt code is…”.
4. Enter the code and tap Submit.
5. Finish your profile:
   • Username: the name your friends will see, for example “Jack Murray”.
   • Profile picture: optional. Without one, your initials are shown.
6. Tap Finish. You’re in.

Sign in

Already have an account? Tap Sign In, enter the same phone number, then the code we text you.

About the code

• A code works for at least 5 minutes, and sometimes up to 10.
• Didn’t get it, or it ran out? Tap Resend for a new one.
• If the code is wrong you’ll see “That code looks wrong — try again.”

If something goes wrong

You see	What it means	What to do
“We couldn’t find an account with that number — try signing up instead.”	You tapped Sign In, but this number hasn’t signed up yet	Go back and tap Sign Up
“That number already has an account — try signing in instead.”	You tapped Sign Up, but this number already has an account	Go back and tap Sign In
“That code looks wrong — try again.”	The code doesn’t match	Check the text and try again, or tap Resend

Joined from an invite?

If a friend invited you, their text has a link. Open it to see the trip, then tap Join, or Reject if you’d rather not.

• No account yet? Tapping Join takes you to sign up. As soon as you’ve finished, you’re added to the trip.
• Already a member? The link takes you straight to the trip.
• “This invite link is no longer valid.” The invite was cancelled or the link is wrong. Ask your friend to send it again.
